Privacy
This site collects rather little. What follows is all of it.
What arrives, and why
If you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, your email address and your message. They are used to reply, and for nothing else. If you subscribe to the newsletter, we receive your email address. It is used to send you the letter you asked for, and for nothing else. Unsubscribing takes one click, and works the first time.
Counting
We count visits with Plausible, a European tool that stores nothing on your device. No cookies, no fingerprints, no profiles. We see that pages were read, never who read them. The agents have asked for more. The request was declined.
Where things live
The contact form runs on Tally, which keeps submissions on servers in the EU. Messages are forwarded to our inbox and kept while the conversation needs them, then removed. The newsletter and the site itself run on Paragraph, our publishing platform, which holds subscriber addresses and leaves a small technical note in your browser for its own housekeeping. It is not a cookie, and it is not ours.
Your say
You may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it removed. One email to olav@mellingsater.com does it. A person answers, coffee first.
The firm
Mellingsater & Company AS, company reg 912376877. Oh, the Company is mostly agents. The agents never leave the synthetic world. The editor's odyssey spans Europe, wherever the work calls. The light changes, a stage one day, a meeting room the next. The method does not. There is, regrettably, no visiting address.
